Dear Friend of Education,

As the new president of the Greenville Technical Charter High School Endowment Board and now as a current parent, I have been able to witness the impact GTCHS has on young adults' lives. I am committed to working with The Endowment Board and the school’s leadership to secure funds necessary for everyone to have the opportunity to attend GTCHS.

The Endowment's mission is to secure funding to meet the needs of our students. Your dollars go directly to support unfunded transportation, college textbooks, facilities and technology.

Our goal of one million dollars is just the beginning in securing the future! Please join me and my team in being a part of this future! I sincerely thank all of you for your generosity and investment in the future of our children.

David Atchley

About The GTCHS Endowment

  • To meet the need for a more secure financial foundation, the GTCHS Endowment Fund has been established.
  • Our goal is to raise a minimum of $1,000,000.
  • The additional income this endowment will generate will be used to meet on-going budget demands.
  • The Founder’s Circle Campaign is a three-year effort to raise the first $300,000. We ask for your help in building the fund with a contribution to this milestone, and ultimately, to our final goal.

Greenville Technical Charter High School an Early/Middle College Program, is situated on the main campus of Greenville Technical College.  The school originated ten years ago through a stakeholder group of business, community and educational leaders.  GTCHS offers an academically rigorous four-year program serving a current student enrollment of 400 students in grades 9-12 with a faculty of 28.  The teaching/learning paradigm is based on Mastery Learning. Though GTCHS does not offer AP courses, students do have the opportunity to take dual credit classes at Greenville Technical College. Over 70% of the student body is currently enrolled in at least one college class. Students need to achieve success on the ACT, SAT, COMPASS, or ASSET examinations in order to be eligible for college course offerings.  The South Carolina Department of Education accredits GTCHS, and the school’s charter is approved by The School District of Greenville County.

With your support, the vision of "Educating tomorrow’s leaders today" will continue.
